you know, I really like Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

it’s an almost perfect book. it makes me laugh and smile and it’s infinitely quotable, and I’m going to read it a hundred times to my kids before they fall asleep.

but the ending bugs me so much

like, after everything that happens, alice just… wakes up?

I mean I get it’s realistic, none of it is real, it’s all a dream and whatever

but it feels like it’s real for the entire book, and alice is having these magnificent adventures and doing the undoable

and then she wakes up and it’s gone and it never actually happened　

so i guess maybe i should go get that corsage??

i want to go for a bike ride but i’m not motivated enough to do anything but mope around in jorts and listen to sadcore
